Reduce fine lines.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Anti-wrinkle injections are primarily used to treat dynamic wrinkles in the face, i.e. wrinkles that form through a motion like smiling. Over time, dynamic wrinkles become static wrinkles, i.e. wrinkles that are visible regardless of muscular movement. However, anti-wrinkle may also be used to treat conditions such as bruxism (jaw clenching) and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).
Anti-wrinkle injections are a protein derivative of botulinum toxin type A. The product works by blocking the signal between the muscle and the nerve, causing the muscles to temporarily relax. The reduction in movement of the muscle minimises the appearance of dynamic wrinkles. Prolonged treatment with anti-wrinkle can also help minimise the severity of static wrinkles.
Anti-wrinkle injections are not permanent; over time, your body with metabolise the product at the site of injection. Dependent on the area treated, you will likely require re-treatment anywhere between 3-6months. Individual factors including lifestyle, age, and muscle condition may also impact the longevity of your anti-wrinkle treatment.
NB: you must be over 18 years of age to receive treatment with anti-wrinkle injections.
