DERMAL FILLER

Enhance your natural beauty.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Dermal fillers are used to treat volume loss in the face which occurs naturally as we age. The product is made from hyaluronic acid, a natural sugar molecule already found in your body. Combined, hyaluronic acid, collagen, and elastin form the scaffold of your skin. Aging and lifestyle cause these components to lose their structure and the ability to produce hyaluronic acid decreases. Re-introducing hyaluronic acid via dermal filler helps reduce visible volume loss primarily through hydration as it can hold up to 1000x its volume in water.

Dermal fillers are not permanent; over time, your body will breakdown the product. Dependent on the area treated and the thickness of dermal filler used, you may require re-treatment anywhere between 6-24months. Individual factors including lifestyle, age, and skin condition may also impact the longevity of your dermal filler.

Dermal filler is injected into the treatment area. As such, some Clients may feel a sharp pinch or sting when the product is injected. We provide topical numbing to all treatment areas and individual ice-packs to ease this discomfort. Additionally, some dermal fillers also contain local anaesthetic which further helps to reduce discomfort. It is important to remember that pain tolerance is a personal thing and varies between individuals.

NB: you must be over 18 years of age to receive treatment with dermal fillers.
